Tornado Handheld Infrared Station with Stand

Portable Tornado Infrared Station AD2IA01 designed particularly for precision soldering and reworking with BGA, microBGA, QFP, PLSS, SOIC microchips. The set includes Tornado handheld infrared unit and stand.

The main advantage of the infrared technology is that while working with certain electronic component, the other elements in the infrared heating zone are not subjected to considerable thermal overload, which can damage them. The other advantage of infrared technology, as compared with hot air stations, is the absence of airflow, which can blow off or throw down microelements, located close to assembling/disassembling site.

Features of AD2IA01 infrared soldering station

• Soldering station AD2IA01 uses lead-free solder and consists of the main unit and portable infrared gun for focused soldering.
• There are power on/off button, temperature controller and digital temperature indicator of infrared gun and infrared gun cable connector on the front panel of the main unit.
• Ceramic infrared heating element with special black covering is used as gun's working element.
• Operating range of the working element is outside visible light range.
• Ceramic heating element, in comparison with infrared halogen lamps, is more resistant to mechanical influences.

Stand advantages

• The PCB is easily and precisely positioned by means of board chucks and therefore avoids sags and deformation
• Infrared gun holder vertical position can be adjusted to have the required diameter and location of the heating area which is crucial for reworking of big BGA-chips
