Soldering Station "Quick 850+"

Looking at thermo-pneumatic station "Quick 850+", the connoisseurs at once will define its complete similarity to the same stations "Hakko 850" of the Japanese manufacture. Besides in the market the similar tools from other Asian manufacturers ("Xy 850", "Gordak 850"), in accuracy of models, repeating a design, of this line are known.

Inside a box the basic case, reliably fixed by soft polymeric partitions, and carefully stacked accessories with the manual in English. The compressor block is the metal case with located on it control elements. The plastic holder of the thermo fan is connected to the mainframe by flexible air pipe, with the power, control and grounding wires inside. At such design, despite of the large diameter of the pipe, it is impossible to bend or twist it, what could cut the air stream and cause the malfunction of device. The components of the case and the fan, and also inscription and graduation are made with high quality. All together looks strictly and professionally, due to what should be aesthetical part of an interior on the desk of the assembler. The different designs of the hot air soldering stations assume a various degree and ways of the control of the main parameters thermo tool, temperatures of air forced into the fan nozzle and its quantities, submitted in time unit. The simplest models have no feedback and to judge a thermal picture in a place of the soldering in an operating time, is possible only by looking on a state of the regulators and approximately estimating a condition of solder in working space. Basically it is a dismantling operation which is not requiring exact observance of a thermal mode. Such stations have a low price, but the spectrum of their application is limited. On the contrary - most expensive are the stations having temperature stabilization, indication of temperature of air on the output from the fan, also an indicator of pressure of an air flow. Such stations allow getting close to the functioning mode given by the operator, but with a various display error of controllable measures. The level of an error is influenced by a distinguished configuration of nuzzles and changeable distance from nuzzle up to a place of heating. These parameters can be taken into account by the mechanism of measurement and display only partially. For example, by use of a feedback from barometric gauge it is possible to compensate distinction in through passage section by a various forcing of air, but still a real thermo-picture will differ considerably from the one that was meant to be indicated. Therefore for assembling works, which are expect exact observance of the thermo-profile, the application of the thermo-pneumatic technology even with a high-tech tool will be a little problematic. It is obvious, that for the majority of other applications which are not requiring strict accuracy of observance of the thermo-mode, it is enough to limit by support of given temperature of heating of an air jet. Thus there is no sense to control its size on the digital indicator, by virtue of the described above reasons. With the same error temperature can be estimated, having looked on a stare of a regulator. But, thus is necessary, that the station had a feedback, i.e. could trace a degree of heating with the built - in thermo-gauge. There is no need to prove, that such configuration will have an optimum parity (price/set of features). Such decision is realized in model " Quick 850 + ". The operation of the station is carried out by three regulators, which are located on the front panel. First - adjustment of the temperature of air submitted in the fan (from 150 up to 500 Celsius). Second - adjustment of a level of a forcing of air (scale from 1 up to 8 in standard units, and the adjustment of the minimal level does not stop submission of air, it only reduces it). Third - switch of heating. There is only one way to stop air submission (switch off built in compressor) – disconnect the power cord. It protects the fan from overheating during the operation and allows to cool the tool quickly for fast change of nuzzle. Without cold air stream it would take as long time, as it takes to cool out a soldering iron.

The weakest link of this stations we could call a manual adjustment of outgoing air volume, depending from the size of installed nuzzle and adjusted by the regulator temperature.
But every tool has to bee adjusted… The tool instruction has a recommendations about air adjustment for the different groups of nuzzle and different temperature modes. You decide how burdensome that is. The full set of nuzzles, lets you to use the station for installing/dismantling of the micro-chip components in QFP, SOP, PLCC, SOJ cases of a various sizes.

The last component of a complete set on the list (but not on the importance) is the special tweezers with replaceable wire holders, intended for convenient installing/dismantling of micro-chips.

In addition, just want to say that the station itself and all accessories have an antistatic cover, which protects from harming sensitive parts. With assistance of "Quick 850+" you will be able to make a range of your possibilities much wider.
